It’s tea time with a twist. For a fabulous, exotic milkshake, start with my fragrant Masala Chai. Want a healthier hit? Try skim milk and lower-fat ice cream.
1/2 cup (125 mL) Masala Chai
1/4 cup (60 mL) whole milk
1 medium banana, broken in chunks, frozen
1/2 cup (125 mL) vanilla ice cream (2 small scoops)
Add Masala Chai, milk and banana to blender. Blend until combined. Add ice cream. Blend briefly, until smooth and thick.
Makes 1-3/4 cups (425 mL).
· My ultimate Masala Chai is spiced black tea, sans milk. It makes sense to prepare the whole recipe and save the remainder for myriad other uses.
