This satisfying, healthy green drink is fragrant but not too sweet, with chard contributing

1 large bunch chard (1 lb/500 g), cut in pieces
2 pears, stemmed, quartered
1 lime, peeled, halved, excess pith removed
Sparkling mineral water to taste
Process chard, pears and lime in electric juicer according to manufacturer’s instructions. Stir. Pour into tall glasses. Add splashes of sparkling water.
Makes 3 cups (750 mL).
- Use natural mineral water, not club soda.
