Pear Chard Lime Crush

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

This satisfying green drink is fragrant but not too sweet, with chard contributing appealing briny accents.

1 large bunch chard (about 1 lb/500 g), cut in pieces
2 pears, stemmed, quartered
1 lime, peeled, halved, excess pith removed
Sparkling mineral water to taste

Process chard, pears and lime in electric juicer according to manufacturer’s instructions. Stir, pour into tall glasses and add splashes of sparkling water.

Makes 3 cups (750 mL).

  • For juicing tips and techniques, see All Juiced Up.
  • I used white swiss chard, but red or golden chard would also work.
  • Use natural mineral water, not club soda.
